I have never wanted to try any other optician as I feel that the staff at Dickinsons know me and my complex eye issues. The eyetest is always thorough.

We wanted a good selection of frames to choose from that were not available elsewhere. Prefer small practice rather than being part of big chain,a more personal service, felt that the staff really took on board what we were looking for - that they are fashion statements, quirky and fun !. Not run of the mill. Glad we found this practice, will definitely return for future eyecare and would not hesitate in recommending to friends and family.

I have used H Dickinson as my opticians now for the past 43 years. during that time, I have found them to be welcoming and professional.It is interesting and wonderful to see that the receptionists have been with the company for many years,offering continuity of service,consequently,I feel that this offers a more personal touch and a greater understanding of my requirements.
As a local doctor I find it really sad that there are now so few 'owner operated' opticians and at a time when there is so much choice of national companies offering discounts, 2 for 1 offers etc etc going to a local established business is a refreshing and personal experience and one I would not swap. I wish H Dickinson & Co Opticians all the very best for the future and have absolutely no hesitation in recommending them.

I choose to visit H Dickinsons as its such a friendly atmosphere. I am always given a thorough eye exam by Neil and Debbie is always on hand to help choose the right pair of glasses. They are very efficient when ordering my contact lenses.
Due to work commitments I had to visit another opticians. I felt like I was on a conveyor belt, passed from one person to another. It was very impersonal. The end resulted in not being able to wear my glasses as they seemed to be the wrong prescription.
I would like to say thank you for all your patience when I arrive to when I leave. I always feel at ease and feel I get 100% attention for my needs.
